Ma di che tipo di mediazione si tratta? Quali problemi solleva e quali riflessioni dal punto di vista pedagogico, sociale, linguistico e antropologico? Questi i principali ambiti di riflessione trattati all’interno dell’articolo, in termini problematici e…

2015

The aim of the present review is to investigate the main field-based tests, used alone or included in sport or fitness batteries, for the assessment of health- and skill-related physical fitness components in adolescents. Different scientific databases were searched through using the selected key words related to physical fitness and its components for adolescence. The Training of Physical-Education Teachers in France and China: A Comparative Analysis of Curricula and Attitudes

2005

This study in comparative physical education examines the curricula followed by physical-education teachers in China and France. It explores how theories of physical education and sport in each country have developed out of specific political, cultural and educational contexts, yet resulted in strong similarities in terms of the priority given to training programs. Nonetheless, it can be seen that the two curricula reflect genuinely divergent concepts of physical education influencing both theory and practice. The attitudes of Chinese and French teacher-trainers towards physical education and sport are shown to display significant ideological differences with regard to the meaning and educa…

FEEDBACK AND ASSESSMENT PRACTICE IN SICILIAN SECONDARY SCHOOL

2022

Teachers’ evaluative competence is one of the pivots of the teaching action because it represents a potential spring for the promotion of learning, autonomy, and educational success of each pupil. Feedback offers the opportunity to enhance the singularity of each student's paths by framing communicative interactions which guide teachers’ evaluative choices by diversifying linguistic registers and choices of communication tools functional to educational success. Since its debut, [3]; [4]; [5], formative evaluation has changed the course of the assessment & evaluative practice. There followed the consolidation of learning through the development of self-regulation, autonomy, reflexivity o…

Améliorer l'école

2006

2004

This article focuses on the relations of primary school pupils with school. This research work based on a 2,500-strong sample of ten-year olds first analyses the content and polarity of the answers they give to justify why they like school or not. Then we tried to find correlations between their statements and their school or socio-demographic background. Finally the influence of school itself is examined : the class (more than the school environment) and the peer group play a more significant role in pupils' relations to school than methodological issues.

Organisation and Context, Efficiency and Equity of Educational Systems: what PISA tells us

2005

05065http://www.wwwords.co.uk/eerj/; International audience; After describing both average scores, dispersion, and social inequalities in achievement in the various countries included in the latest Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) study, this article relates those ‘products' to country economic and cultural characteristics. It then explores relations between student scores and a number of institutional characteristics of countries' educational systems. Results show that relations exist between average scores and certain institutional or pedagogical practices such as grade repeating or tracking. A high degree of social inequality in achievement proves to be associated wi…
